CZAR YOU SERIOUS?

It's time to put a stop to all of these Czars. If they are not unconstitutional they should be! The whole CZAR thing upsets the checks and balances of our government. They are not confirmed or vetted by congress and they answer only to the executive branch. Without congressional control Czar's are immune from any normal governmental controls.

This Czar thing is out of control. It's not the president's fault, he's only human. He's taking advantage of a loophole left open to his advantage. Congress needs to act fast without prejudice and get some legislation on the books to control the Czars.

What's wrong with Czars?

First the name, we're a democracy! This is America not Amerika!

Beyond the name and as the name implies these folks have absolute power over their domain. Again, this is democracy, we should get to vote for our Czars or at least our elected officials should have some control over them.

The President has a cabinet of properly congress-vetted and confirmed members to advise him. Czars are a way to skirt the vetting and confirmation process and give jobs to "suspect" individuals with all kinds of power over you and me.

Who's paying for these postions? You and me. That's right the president can employ all the Czars he wants without any budget oversight.

What can Congress do?

First, let's make sure that Czars are constitutional. If they are, put laws in place to limit the number of Czars. Then Congress needs to legislate the proper confirmation of these executive branch appointees. Lastly, where does the money to pay these Czars come from and who controls what they get paid? Well the Czar budget needs to come out off the Cabinet budget as essentially these are cabinet members.

Fixin' America doesn't always have to be difficult, we just use horse sense.
